The only guitar preamp you will ever need in your studio.Introducing the AMT ProStudio Series SS-10 3 channel
rackmount preamp. The AMT SS-10 uses completely tube based 4-stage preamplification (2 x 12AX7) which enables you
to obtain a wide range of sounds; resulting from aggressive modern metal to classic 1980s sounds, to overdriven blues,
to chunky crunchy rhythm, to super saturated screaming instrumental lead tones.
Super-slim 1-rackspace unit only 3.5 inches deep. Mount in your studio cabinet or even on your pedalboard!
SS-10 is separated into 3 individual channels: Clean, Crunch, and Lead. Each of the channels may be accessed and
switched via the red selector buttons or also by the optional AMT FS-2 foot switch for hands free operation.
Each channel is designed with is own gain and level controls, which makes fine tuning extremely easy; and a
final master volume control to adjust the total overall output db of the unit.
The SS-10 has three outputs; Amp Out, Cab Sim Out, and Headphones Out for easy monitoring in the studio.
There in a guitar signal input jack on both the front and back of the unit, and also an FX loop Send and Return
with level knob.
CLEAN CHANNEL will provide you with anything from smooth warm driven tube sounds, to bright and shimmering
clean tones. This is capable via the 3 tone control knobs Low, Mid, and High; and also by help of the special
EQ adjustment switch. The switch offers 3 unique tone stacks from where the clean channel's tone starts with.
Then from one of the 3 positions, the tone can be even further modified with the control knobs.
You will find this useful in getting a wide variety of clean guitar styles. Useful also in compensating for
various pickups from different guitars.
CRUNCH CHANNEL is used for those semi-clean to mean sounds. Blues overdrive, classic rock drive, and
vintage 80s hair metal crunch; all easily dialed in on the SS-10's Crunch channel. Controls of the Crunch
channel include Gain, Level, Low, Mid, High, Presence, and a 3 position selectable Treble Shift switch.
LEAD CHANNEL is for those mean to EXTREME+ guitar tones. Blistering, screaming, pure tube metal distortion
powerhouse. Perfect for aggressive guitarists and drop tuners! The SS-10 lead channel will please even the
discriminating players who are never satisfied with the amount of gain. AMT knows heavy guitar technology
and the SS-10 will provide more than enough! Similar to the Crunch channel, the Lead also provides control over Gain,
Level, Low, Mid, High, Presence, and has a Treble Shift switch. Take your guitar to low B, we're ready!

Features of SS-11 Design:

Description of SS-11 Channels:
LEAD channel provides thick viscous sound for playing both chunky rhythm parts and singing solos
with excellent presence. TREBLE SHIFT toggle to take your lead sound into bright mode, similar to the good old
''Treble Booster'' pedals in the 80's that guitarists used to enhance their solos.
OVERDRIVE channel features a more open structure of the sound. This is the SS-11's sweet spot!
VERY tubey and saturated sounding, much like that of the classic tube amps of the 70's and 80's! Wide
range of sensitivity adjustment results in the sound starting from light crunch to thick and bright lead channel-like
sound. Natural tube tone. If you're looking for something other than that dull sounding solid-state OD or TS clone sound,
then THIS IS IT.
CLEAN channel focuses on crystal clarity clean sound. Low, Mid, and High controls for tweaking your sound;
as well as and TREBLE SHIFT toggle for adjusting high end response.

Our principle and motto for this device is it is the VALVE that sounds and sings, however,
the transistors do their best to help it sound in all its beauty and originality.
The Features of SS-20:
- High-grade high-voltage feed of triodes.
- Complete elimination of operational amplifiers traditionally used in hybrid preamps for sound amplification and processing.
- Application of special semi-conductor amplifiers modeling triode-based harmonics and providing signal amplitude necessary
for high-grade valve operation.
In order to achieve the full opening of input valve cascades working in the "hottest"
conditions the giant amplitude of one hundred and more volts is necessary.
The dynamic properties characteristic to valve – based preamps are implemented in SS-20 due to the elimination of signal
limiting OA (feed level of 20-25V) in the part of preliminary amplification and using special cascades capable
of reaching 250V amplitude with nonlinearity similar to 12??7 triode.
Thus, we managed to achieve full dynamic characteristics of guitar signal without usual hybrid ''squeeze''
as well as assign special sound character to SS-20.
Special attention was also paid to clean channel – in this section we also followed the way of
preserving the dynamics of guitar signal with simultaneous formation of soft ''nonlinearity''
inherent in the cascades on vacuum triodes.
It also allowed us to escape both the ''squeeze'' and ''refinement'' peculiar to many clean-channels of hybrid devices.
The architecture of SS-20:
–Two high-grade channels CLEAN and DRIVE with the possibility of Drive-channel operation in two basic modes:
moderate sensitivity (CRUNCH) and high sensitivity (LEAD).
– Effects Loop Send and Return.
– Operation via both direct unaltered signal for guitar amplifiers heads, combos, and speakers (OUTPUT jack)
as well as speaker cabinet compensated output for mixing consoles, computers, or other recording devices.
The basis of the inner preamp structure is the principle of maximum use of amplification and nonlinear transformation
of the valve part of the device.
Thus, the semi-conductor part of the hybrid practically does not participate in the sound limitation
(except for the use of preamp in LEAD mode at Gain LEAD level of higher than 7) and the entire spectrum is formed by
the valve preamp part.
In the preamp stage the quantity of semi-conductor cascades is not used in the sound processing,
and in the absence of jacks in SEND and RETURN the signal is forwarded to OUTPUT through compensating circuits
directly from the output triode cascade.
Therefore it is advised to use high quality minimum length cables for connecting the preamp output with guitar amplifier input.
The SS-20 uses the original cabinet emulator, however, ONLY in direct out mode!
It models the amplitude-frequency characteristics of guitar amplification systems for the most accurate reproduction
and ease of recording direct. Secondly, it simulates own nonlinearity of dynamic head peculiar to instrumental loudspeakers,
that in its turn colors the output signal with short-range harmonics making it live and closer to real.
Our unique speaker emulator circuitry supplements the signal with 2nd and 3rd harmonic with smooth increase
in their level at signal level growth (it actually is similar to instrumental head in the closed cabinet),
not found on other manufacturers pedals.
